À propos de l'événement
“It was during an internship that I was introduced to Gregorian chant - explains Antoine Guerber, artistic director of the Diabolus in Musica ensemble. I discovered an unsuspected world: music that is more than a thousand years old, its historical context, manuscripts, notations and above all, the beauty of the voice when it goes back to the sources of our entire history”.
In the Middle Ages, learning was done by repetition. There was practically no written score. The master sang and the choristers rehearsed. The trainees will teleport to the Middle Ages and learn under the same conditions. A journey through time that does not leave you indifferent!
And if participating in a Gregorian chant course was precisely made for choristers "not very comfortable with the score"? No music theory, but a deep rootedness, a confrontation with stripping and simplicity.
Audience: Amateur or professional singers and choristers ; conductors and teachers looking for repertoire, vocal technique tools and direction adapted to these styles.
Prerequisites: open to all, non-reader but accustomed to oral learning.
