Both inspiration and protector of authors, Eleanor of Aquitaine and her two eldest daughters, Marie and Alix, women of culture and power, have largely contributed to the enthusiasm and development of courtly opera. They protected and encouraged artists and allowed the transmission of the works of their contemporaries by animating meetings between troubadours and trouvères in the courts of France in the 12th century.
The artists of Diabolus in Musica : Axelle Bernage, Françoise Johannel, Emmanuel Vistorky and Philippe Roche, under the direction of Nicolas Sansarlat, are in residence at the Château du Plessis in La Riche (37), from February 13 to 17, 2023, to work on their new creation.
